Knit Color!

Colorwork is not limited to Fair Isle - Learn all of the techniques to play with color in your knitting in this in-person class!
Intro to Punch Needle
11:30am-2:30pm Classroom 2
You'll learn how to get started, different punch needle techniques, basic troubleshooting skills, and create a set of mug rugs of your own design.
Intro to Natural Dye
1pm-3pm Classroom 3
Dye sessions act as an interactive introduction to natural dye. Participants will receive an in depth explanation of both the mordant and dyeing process. Each participant will work with cotton bandanas to learn and practice a variety of dye techniques. All materials are provided, dress comfortably.
Intro to Portuguese Knitting
1:30pm-3:30pm Classroom 1
Learn how to knit Portuguese style! Portuguese knitting is more efficient and easier on your joints, so it can help reduce strain and fatigue. In this style of knitting, the yarn is tensioned either around the neck or using a knitting pin.
Mending Denim
3:15pm-4:45pm Classroom 2
Have you been looking for a way to use visible mending to repair your jeans?
Katrinkles Bigger Darning Loom Kit is the perfect tool for repairing jeans and other woven garments. In this workshop, Katy from Katrinkles will walk you through the process, step by step, showing you how to patch a hole in a woven garment on the Bigger Darning Loom.

Yoga for Crafters

No yoga experience necessary! Join knitwear designer, yoga instructor, and Mindset Coach, Jill Tamminen of Knit Sisu, to learn accessible and supportive movements to bring more ease, awareness, and joy to your crafting.
Basketweaving Basics
11:15am-2:15pm Classroom 2
Learn to weave your own basket using traditional techniques and natural materials. In this workshop Aubrey will show you how to start a base and explore form and color with reed and other fiber materials.
Book Making For Wardrobe Journaling
12:15pm-1:45pm Classroom 1
In this workshop, Katy shares her fascination with journaling all things wardrobe related. We will discuss what wardrobe journaling is, why you want to start keeping one, and how to get started.
Brioche Basics
2pm-4pm Classroom 1
Expand your knitting skills and learn the super cozy brioche stitch! Brioche knitting creates a lofty, super-squishy ribbed fabric, making it extra warm and cozy for cold weather projects. In this class, you'll learn the basics of knitting brioche flat, including increases and decreases to make attractive designs.
Intro to Indigo
2:45-4:45 Classroom 3
A follow up to Introduction to Natural Dye, Introduction to Indigo gives an in-depth and hands-on experience of the wide world of indigo. Participants will leave with working knowledge of creating and maintaining an indigo vat, the historical and cultural significance of indigo, as well as resist dye techniques. All materials provided, dress comfortably.
